Active Discussions Held within the Framework of the “World Defence Show 2026”
The “World Defence Show 2026,” taking place in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, continues its work. On February 10, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence Industry, Vugar Mustafayev, who is participating in the exhibition, held meetings with Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Khalid bin Hussein Al-Biyari, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs; Mansurjon Ibodullayev, Director of the Defense Industry Agency under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Muhammad Chiragh Haider, Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; as well as senior executives of the U.S. companies General Dynamics, Teledyne FLIR, and Ansys.
During the meetings, cooperation in the field of defence industry was reviewed and prospects for further development were discussed.
The discussions emphasized that in the modern era, the defence industry is shaped not only by production capacity but also by scientific foundations, innovative technologies, and flexible management models. The strategic importance of strengthening the link between industry and science was highlighted. Monitoring technological advancements, studying and adapting best practices were identified as key drivers for the dynamic development of the sector. It was also noted that international exhibitions and forums play an important role in this process.
